More from Dubai

Two sharks and a stingray have been
named as the latest suspects in the recent liquidation of Hamas arch-terrorist
Mahmoud el-Mabhouh. All three arrived in Dubai carrying forged passports
identifying them as squids.

Heavily-armed police moved in to arrest the three, after evacuating a shopping mall on the flimsy and transparent pretext that the glass sides of an aquarium had cracked and that the mall was in danger of flooding. A senior police officer confided to this reporter that, in fact, they were afraid the suspects might escape and make fools of them in full view  of the large numbers of citizens present in the mall.

"These are very slippery customers," he added.

About Shimona from the Palace

Born in London, the UK, I came on Aliyah in my teens and now live in Jerusalem, where I practice law. I am a firm believer in the words of Albert Schweitzer: "There are two means of refuge from the sorrows of this world - Music and Cats." To that, you can add Literature. To curl up on the sofa with a good book, a cat at one's feet and another one on one's lap, with a classical symphony or concerto in the background - what more can a person ask for?
