“Gifts” from Hamastan

You won’t read about it in the Guardian, nor will you hear about it on CNN or the BBC, but the Hamas terrorist regime (democratically elected by the citizens of Gaza), continues to fire rockets on Israeli towns and villages. Nor do they care whether they wound Jews or Arabs. Today’s Qassam rocket victim was a Bedouin shepherdess. No doubt were she to die, they would proclaim her a shaheeda (martyr) – a dubious “honour” she most certainly did not ask for.

About Shimona from the Palace

Born in London, the UK, I came on Aliyah in my teens and now live in Jerusalem, where I practice law. I am a firm believer in the words of Albert Schweitzer: "There are two means of refuge from the sorrows of this world - Music and Cats." To that, you can add Literature. To curl up on the sofa with a good book, a cat at one's feet and another one on one's lap, with a classical symphony or concerto in the background - what more can a person ask for?

We are kept in the dark as well.

    • I fear it’s only “news” when “Palestinians” are on the receiving end – and even then, only when the “gifts” come from Israel…

The media believes they can rule a pfeerct, pacifist world once they trick everyone into never again using violence to get what they want. The problem is, there will always be those who will use violence, and their power grows as everyone else drinks the media’s Kool-Aid. Until the media realizes that not only do people have the right to defend themselves with violence, but a responsibility to do so when violence is used against them, they will never have any choice but to enslave themselves to anyone who threatens them with any potentially deadly force, even to any random gang of rock-throwing children.
